Brinley has become quite a precocious 10.5-month-old. She is getting the hang of walking, tottering around the apartment looking proud of herself until she topples over, usually out of excitement at her progress. Some of her favorite things include thumbing through her (and dad's) books, sticking her hands into small spaces to retrive something, playing peek-a-boo where she does the hiding, and hearing her voice reverberate into large spaces. It is becoming clear that she understands at least some commands like: "Brin, dance," "high-five!" and "kisses." This makes it all the more frustrating when she doesn't respond to other commands such as: "get out of the garbage!" "no playing in the toilet!" and "don't eat my homework!"
